Katy Perry Shows Off Long, Ombre Hair At Broadway Show

Katy Perry, 30, showed off her long hair makeover on August 7, but this is the first major appearance with her long hair — and we love it! It looked great with her matte makeup — copy her beauty with tips from her makeup artist below!

Katy’s new long hair was styled in pretty waves and in a center part.

Her makeup was brown in tone. Her lips were matte but her skin was still glowy.

I did an interview with Katy’s makeup artist Todd Delano, who told me:

“Her hair color doesn’t change much in terms of makeup. The brows may be a bit lighter, and it’s fun to play with colors that accent whatever hair color she may have at the moment.”

As for her favorite products, he said: “We love COVERGIRL’s new Full Lash Bloom Mascara. It creates really soft lashes that look natural but still noticeable. We also love the Perfect Point Plus Eye Liner. It has a built-in smudger so we can create a quick smokey eye look, perfect for those quick changes behind the scenes.”

Biggest Kardashian Hair Makeovers

It’s good to be a Kardashian when it comes to being able to try out every beauty trend imaginable. Case in point: their access to the best wigs, extensions, hairstylists and colorists around that lets them change their hairstyles at the drop of a hat. Blonde seemed to be the Kardashian color of choice this year starting with Kim Kardashian’s bleach blonde makeover back in March. If it’s a bold color transformation you love to see, Kylie’s your girl. The youngest Kardashian/Jenner doesn’t shy away from pastel and neon hues, and even has her own line of extensions, Kylie Hair Kouture, which judging from her drastically different lengths, she uses frequently. This year alone, Kylie has taken her naturally dark locks to shades of gray, cotton candy pink, pastel blue, teal ombré and, of course, her most recent blonde stint for her 18th birthday.

For subtle, barely-there changes, Khloe has been slowly taking her honey blonde long hair to a platinum shade, which we’re thinking means she plans to keep it that color for a bit. Meanwhile, Kourtney Kardashian (briefly) added bangs for a photo shoot with Kim before returning to her usual long dark locks.
  

Despite the chill factor, spring is just around the corner so it's time to start updating the old winter wardrobe with some fab new season finds.

Taking inspiration from the delicate, beautiful spring flowers bursting into bud, designers are channelling this pretty feeling, offering a gorgeous mix of pieces that reflect a fiercely feminine spirit.

Celebrating this, Trelise Cooper's "Livin' on a Flare" dress epitomises this strong, feminine vision. I adore this flirty little floral mini dress, which features extra panels, adding interesting volume and shape.

There's nothing more elegant and feminine than a kimono. I love the japon-esque detailing of Carlson's bohemian inspired "Beaton" kimono jacket, worn here with her exquisitely embroidered "Peacock" dress.

Charmaine Reveley's cornflower blue lace "Nightshade" frock is oh so ladylike. This quietly sophisticated dress brilliantly flatters the feminine shape, thanks to its clean design lines.

Keeping it pretty in the pastels' department is Staple + Cloth's "Ace" top, worn here with the "Maxwell" culottes. I love how the soft "girly-girl" feeling of the delicate printed top is balanced against the clean, pure minimalism of the white culottes.

Sticking with the sugary gelato shades, I love Ruby's dusty pink "Orchid" top. This versatile top can also be worn as a jacket and looks amazing when teamed with Ruby's spotted "Audrey" crop top and matching pant. The black-and-white spotted set creates a fun 50s-style mood.

Pleats are once again back in the spotlight. Vaughan Geeson's pleated "De Winter" pinafore easily flatters the female figure with its nipped-in waist.

Once reserved for tragic 80s ball and wedding dress monstrosities, frills, ruffles and flounces are back in a big way. When done well, these ultimate feminine touches can look incredible.

I love the sculptural qualities of Lucy McIntosh's "Gas" top with its fantastic fluted detailing. Worn with her "Stationary" trouser, the ensemble is undeniably feminine and yet still fabulously fashion forward.
  

Even when she isn’t on the runway, top model Kendall Jenner, 19, is totally working it — and that’s just what she did in St. Barts on Aug. 19, where she served up major swim-spiration as she posed for countless Instagram photos in a sleek black swimsuit — and when she turned around it proved to be sexier than ever, thanks to the swooping, low back. Not only was her outfit so sexy and chic, but it is also totally affordable and attainable, too — how cool is that?

She may rock the runway for Karl Lagerfeld over at Chanel and is currently featured in the latest Balmain campaign,but the model isn’t above scooping up a great buy — and that’s just what she did with this black American Apparel Nylon Tricot High-Cut One-Piece, which you can SHOP for just $45.

When we first saw Kendall emerge on Aug. 19 she was on her way to lunch with her famous family, where her bathing suit doubled as a top, which was tucked into a flowing, semi-sheer skirt. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — a swimsuit that can double as an outfit is definitely a necessity when heading on vacation, especially because it makes packing a breeze. I love nothing more than seeing one look, two ways — and Kendall and Kyle are pros at pulling off this look.

Next time the model stepped out, she was spotted on a boat, posing and playing around — and that’s when she ditched the skirt and really put the focus on the sexy silhouette of the bathing suit. Want to get her look?

From checkered print to plaid, we’ve seen so many prints on the Fall 2015 runway — and we love the idea of rocking them in flirty silhouettes, just like Taylor did in this MinkPink outfit. Best Beauty At The 2015 Teen Choice Awards

From natural beauty looks to unexpected pops of color, the Los Angeles held 2015 Teen Choice awards did not disappoint int he beauty department. See all of the best beauty looks and be sure to check back for beauty breakdowns on all of your favorite celebs!

Naturally, the Pretty Little Liars girls killed it. Matching the blue carpet, Lucy Hale sported an electric blue cat eye with soft smokey blue eyeshadow. To keep her look from being too dramatic, Lucy wore a natural pink lip with her hair slicked back into a clean, parted ponytail. Meanwhile, Shay Mitchell paired her pony with an intense smokey eye and nude lip.

Girl Meets World star Rowan Blanchard kept her hair and makeup age appropriate with a classic high ponytail and soft pink tones on her eyes, lips and cheeks. Also opting for a natural makeup look was actress Bella Thorne, who paired her frosty pink lip and lightly lined eye makeup with a classic blowout.

Co-host Gina Rodriguez rocked the most perfect blowout of the night. Her loose curls were impossibly shiny, and they managed to be both smooth and volumized despite the high humidity.

Taking major beauty risks were Zendaya with a slicked back high, braided ponytail, and singer Rita Ora, who debuted pale pink hair. To match her candy-colored locks, Rita wore pale pink lips and a shimmery frosted pink eyeshadow.
  

Madonna Taps Top Designers for Rebel Heart Tour Costumes

Whether it's rocking a new nose piercing or wearing a tee with the words printed "Big As Madonna" (and worthy of a make-out sesh with Drake), Madge is never one to settle with her bold fashion statements.

So it's only fitting that Madonna has recruited designer pals Jeremy Scott (for Moschino) and Alexander Wang, as well as Gucci's new creative director, Alessandro Michele, to create extravagant pieces for her Rebel Heart tour, kicking off Sept. 9 in Montreal.

WWD reports that she has also enlisted Nicolas Jebran, Fausto Puglisi, Prada, Miu Miu and Swarovski to provide looks for her worldwide concert tour which supports her 13th studio album of the same name. The Material Girl will also collaborate with her longtime friend and costume designer, Arianne Phillips, for some of her onstage outfits, which she's already been teasing on Instagram.

Even with all this top talent designing for her, there seems to be one designer missing from the list — Versace. It seems strange considering that she starred in the Italian label's spring 2015 campaign. Whatever the case may be, Madge still has mad love for the brand since she did post a photo of herself with the late Gianni Versace on Twitter last month.
  

Serena Williams serves it up to haters in incredible photo shoot

Serena Williams has been the constant subject of body shaming.

But this time it's game, set, match to Williams as she outplays the haters who have said she is "built like a man" and "fat,fat, fat".

In a series of stunning images, she shows off the incredible, powerful body that has supported "one of the most sustained careers of excellence in the history of athletics".

Sleek, strong and impressively supple, the 33-year-old champion does the splits, suspended across two bars.

The perfectionist, uploading a behind-the-scenes shot from the shoot with New York magazine to Instagram, wrote: "Still working on that toe point @gqlew."

Williams, who in the elegant photo shoot, shows off her feminine side, reveals that her love of fashion extends beyond her love of tennis.

"That was my first real love," she tells NY mag, "but then I was like, Listen. I'm playing professional tennis. I'll just do athleticwear."

She and sister Venus now both have their own fashion labels.

"We brought fashion back to tennis," Serena said. "It was great when Chris Evert was around. Tracy Austin had some great designs. But the '90s was not a good time."

With her Serena's Signature Statement Collection label, the tennis star plans to continue her success off the court when she eventually retires.

Form-fitting and feminine, the line is a sartorial finger to the many who volley opinions about her body.

She has been called "masculine", she and Venus have been accused of having been born male, of using steroids and the head of the Russian Tennis Federation calls them "the Williams brothers".

But, Williams is not about to be shamed into submission, as her new shoot shows.

Besides, she has previously told the New York Times, "I realised that you really have to learn to accept who you are and love who you are. I'm really happy with my body type, and I'm really proud of it."
  

Taylor Swift’s Cute Blue Crop Top

Taylor Swift, 25, was in Edmonton, Canada for her 1989 Tour on August 4. She looked adorable in a patterned blue crop top when she posed for pics with fans at the Loft ’89 meet and greet with fans after the concert. You can SHOP Taylor’s exact top here.

Taylor just topped Vanity Fair’s 2015 International Best Dressed List and we can’t say we’re surprised. Her style is what the mag called, “Prep Power,” but it’s more than that. Taylor has the ability to throw on a shirt that is super cute and insanely affordable, but also manages to head out in high-end fashion pieces.

Tay has been sporting the brand Ronny Kobo for quite some time, and we always love all of the outfits from the brand. While some of the pieces can be a bit pricey, Taylor manages to shop sale (which we love about her!). Her Ronny Kobo Ada Crop Top is currently on sale for $64 and it is so pretty. The blue and white stripes and feathered pattern make this a typical feminine TSwizzle top.

Surprisingly, she didn’t wear the matching skirt to this top, considering she loves matching co-ords. She decided to switch it up with a flowy blue, pleated Urban Outfitters Silence + Noise Edith Skirt, which is also on sale for $39 — this whole outfit is not only girly and adorable, it is a total bargain buy.
  

When Should You Really Throw Out Your Makeup and Beauty Products?

Be honest: When's the last time you cleaned out your makeup bag?

Along with regularly washing your brushes, a cardinal rule of beauty hygiene includes a thorough examination of your makeup products. Sure, many items explicitly state expiration dates, but some don't. "While some dates are more like guidelines…kind of like with eggs," said celeb makeup artist Julianne Kaye.

To clarify any confusion, we've compiled general time frames of when you should chuck out your favorite beauty products. Because that lipstick circa 2010 is neither pretty nor hygienic at this point.

As time goes on, formula ingredients separate, which will make the product look different every time you use it. If it smells weird or looks slightly off, it's time to throw it away, advised Julianne. "If your foundation doesn't wear well, as in it's oxidizing on your face, or changing colors, or doesn't act like it used to, it's expired," advised the product pro.

"Mascara is the first thing you should toss," said Julianne. "Some say throw it away after three months, but I always say six weeks. Every time you pump your mascara, you're pumping bacteria into it, which cause a stye or infection." Liners, too, will dry out around the same time. On the hand, shadows have much longer shelf lives and can last for an inordinate amount of time when made with quality ingredients (read: no broken palette crumbles).

"After two years, lipsticks can go rancid," warned Julianne. If it smells or there is some kind of discoloration, it's probably not a safe bet. And like eyeliners, lip pencils will also eventually dry out, leaving them ineffective. When in doubt, it's better to be safe than sorry and toss it.

Luckily, skin-care products almost always come with an expiration date. Using these products past this point probably won't hurt you, but those active ingredients may not benefit you as much as it used to either. "When creams or liquids expire, they just aren't active as they used to be," noted the expert. "I wouldn't go back to a 4-year-old cream and expect it to perform." Hey, it's another excuse to go to Sephora.
