Spring 2016 Collection

Rebecca Minkoff’s Spring 2016 Collection
Rebecca Minkoff‘s Spring 2016 collection debuted during New York Fashion Week at The Gallery at Skylight Clarkson Square on Sept. 12, where the designer sent 60s-inspired looks down the runway, inspired by Marianne Faithfull. From flowing frocks to florals and fringe, the cool contemporary clothing is bound to be appreciated by the designer’s celeb fans — and a star-studded front row took in the show!
Music always serves such a prominent role in the shows, and this season Rebecca didn’t disappoint, enlisting indie singer BØRNS to perform as the cool collection came down the runway — it was the perfect soundtrack for the show.
Models rocked wispy bangs and mascara on their top and bottom lashes, evoking a cool vibe that felt so much like London in the 60s, which was the perfect compliment to the collection.
As always with Rebecca, it wasn’t just about the cool, covetable clothing — the accessories were also totally on point, as models rocked gladiator heels, cut-out knee-high boots, crossbody bags and more. There were lucite heels and ankle boots, which complimented the looks perfectly and added to the mod-feel of the line.
My personal favorite look was definitely a lavender fringe suede cape and matching mini skirt, which I could totally see on eternal boho babe Vanessa Hudgens — it screamed cool festival fashion. A leather jumpsuit was sexy and sleek, and I could easily imagine Kendall Jenner rocking the get-up.
Olivia Holt, Lindsey Vonn, Louise Roe, Skyler Samuels, Jamie Chung, Jaime King and Coco Rocha were among the famous faces in the front row at the show, and they were all smiles as they checked out Rebecca’s Spring 2016 line.
Fringe was back in a big way, a trend that is totally having a moment for Fall 2015 — and it was a major player in Rebecca’s fall line as well.
